We have found the TV Ears 2.3 and Original TV Ears to work exactly as described with very good sound quality. Both are excellent values for the money and we rate them as an “outstanding value.” If you are an audiophile, you may want to consider the Sennheiser Set 820 RF which delivers exceptional sound quality (albeit at a higher price).
Pros:
Very good to excellent sound quality
Adjustable volume, balance and tone controls
Voice enhancement w/ minimized bass tones
Simple setup (connects with TV’s audio output jack)
Compatible w/Theatres and Playhouses operating at 95kHz (excluding TV Ears 2.3)
Some background noise cancellation (Ear tips “mould” into ears for customer fit and sealing out surrounding sounds)
Lightweight headset, 1.6 oz
Quick recharge time (10 hours of listening time in 1 hour)
2 people can use TV Ears at the same time off 1 transmitter

Cons:
You cannot hook up TV Ears if you are already using the speaker ports on your TV
Some people may find TV Ears to be uncomfortable to wear for longer periods of time
TV Ears will not work in the presence of fluorescent lights
Helpful Hints:
1) If you wear hearing aid(s) it is
recommended that you remove them while listening to TV Ears.
2) If you have a Plasma or LCD TV, the TV Ears Original model is
NOT compatible (consider the 2.3 or Professional model)
3) Wireless coverage of 900 sq ft or
50 feet in line of sight should comfortable cover most rooms
4) Do not point the transmitter at
windows or glass doors, the signal will not bounce off
5) Direct the
transmitter at a wall to bounce the beam throughout the listening room
